BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT           The Department of Education, Charaibahi College was started from 1996-97 session, seven years after the establishment of the College. The Department came into being as an independent Department with the joining of Shikhamoni Das as a faculty member. The subject was taught as a general course since 1997. After two years another faculty Nazma Begum had joined in this College in 1999. With the increase in the number of the students and responding to the demand of the time the major courses in the subject was started in 2010-11 session. Since then a number of stud
